WE GIVE YOU A PEEK AT THE FAB LIFE OF MILLENNIAL MOMSPIRATION BIANCA SANTIAGO-REINOSO!
How do you plan your week ahead?
As a working mom with fairly young kids, my life can get pretty hectic. My phone notes, phone calendar, and planner play big roles in organizing my life and my family’s schedule. It’s really a habit of mine to jot things down right away making it easier for me to check and plot schedules – even when I don’t want to think haha!
How do you prioritize your daily/weekly commitments/tasks? What’s the best way to get things done in your daily to-do list?
I first identify the most urgent tasks so that gets prioritized. I work my way into finishing my to—dos from there. I seriously find it satisfying when I see so many check marks on my to do list haha!
What’s the best way to start the week?
Wake up earlier than expected.
Tell us about your morning routine. What gets you pumped up in the morning?
Coffee and music for my me time in the morning and if I’m lucky, a quick and solid workout before I go about my day. That and of course, fam time!
How do you take your breaks on a typical workday?
I tune out for a bit—I listen to music, get a yummy cup of coffee or a cupcake (for extremely tiring days. Woot!) go to my fave websites, and catch up on social media. If I finish work early, I book myself some salon time at Alex Carbonell’s Studio. Heaven!
What’s your go to night cap?
A glass of wine.
What’s the best way to spend Friday night?
Wine and tapas with my husband and/or BFFs.
How do you relax on weekends?
Weekends are really reserved for family time, definitely the reason why I always look forward to the weekends! But at day’s end, when the kids are asleep, I do love catching up on my Netflix shows. I also sneak in a workout to de-stress.
The Bellas would love to know your OOTD planning secrets. Do share.
It usually depends on my mood. I try to work in a story for my look, no matter how simple the outfit and even if only me will get it LOL! Besides, dressing up should make you feel great! It also helps when you identify a key piece. You can totally plan your outfit around your fave bag or those killer heels you just bought!
BIANCA’S FIVE PLANNING TIPS & TRICKS
It helps me a lot that before I go to bed at night, I make a mental note of the things I need to do for the next day and review my planner to prevent surprises and to not forget the tasks I need to do for that day.
- Identify and organize your tasks
I also list down the things I need to do and categorize it based on urgency. In that way, it’s easier to know what to tackle first and also gauge the amount of time needed for each task. If you’re organized, you will find yourself ready, confident and not overwhelmed and stressed with everything that needs to be done.
- Use a watch
I know it’s old school and we do have our phones, but this was a tip that my super organized dad gave me when I was in high school. And it really helped me survive especially when I was in college! When you’re busy and you have a lot on your mind, the tendency is to lose track of time. Being aware and staying on schedule really gets the work, or in this case, all the work done!
- Invest on a planner
I don’t know about you but I’m still your classic pen and paper kinda gal. I love writing ideas in my notebook and jotting down events, activities on my planner. I heard that writing makes you recall more so this helps you be on point with everythanggg haha! Technology is also our best friend, do take full advantage of your notes/calendar apps!
