A Week with… Nasia Cammayo!

We give you a peek at the fab life of fashion stylist Nasia Cammayo!

How do you plan your week ahead?
I check my calendar first for the dates where I’ve already marked appointments or tasks beforehand, then I work from there.

How do you prioritize your daily/weekly commitments/tasks? What’s the best way to get things done in your daily to-do list?
Of course I start with the most important task on my list, then I proceed to the next one after finishing it. The best way to get things done in my daily to-do list is to cross out all accomplished tasks. Knowing what I’ve already accomplished motivates me to keep up and strive harder, especially on days when I feel uninspired.

What’s the best way to start the week?
The best way to start the week is to make sure you get good sleep (the night before), pray to God for guidance and inspiration, and have a mean cup of coffee!

Tell us about your morning routine. What gets you pumped up in the morning?
I turn off my alarm, check my phone, and gauge if I can workout (if not, I workout in the afternoon). Haha! I then wash up — or already take a bath when I have to go somewhere — and prepare my breakfast. Coffee is essential, so it’s a must that I make or grab a reaaaally good cup of coffee. Believing that God will guide me throughout the day, having a cup of joe, and getting a quality workout gets me pumped up in the morning!

How do you take your breaks on a typical workday?
I walk around, drink water, go to a cafe for a snack or coffee, go blog hopping, or just check my phone. Stretching also helps!

What’s your go to night cap?
Depending on my mood, it’s watching the latest movie, having dinner at my fave resto, or meeting up with friends for a few drinks.

What’s the best way to spend Friday night?
With good company in a place where you can just destress, chill out, and have a good conversation or laugh. But on days when I just want to be alone, it’s catching up on my reading or watching an old Hollywood film.

How do you relax on weekends?
I take a few more minutes (or hours!) in bed and just lounge around at home. I also like discovering new coffee shops in the metro with my boyfriend, or catch up on our favorite TV series. We also meet up with our barkada and have a steady night, either in a resto-bar or in one of our homes.

The Bellas would love to know your OOTD planning secrets. Do share.
I dress up according to my current mood, if I’m inspired by a certain theme, or by starting with a piece — this could be an accessory, a top, or a pair of shoes — that I want to use for the day. I also keep in mind to rotate my shoes weekly so I can maximize each pair, especially those that I forget to use or have. It also helps that I have this “super power” (haha!) of instantly building a look in my head.

Nasia’s Five Planning Tips & Tricks

  1. Immediately jot down any deadline or appointment in your calendar so you can plan things ahead.
  2. Always have a to-do list for the day, then cross out each task once you’ve finished it. This guides you on what you still need to do and how you should manage your time wisely.
  3. Allot a time frame for each task to know your pace and work on it.
  4. Review your schedule often in case you need to make changes with it, due to cancelled or surprise appointments and other work.
  5. Be realistic in planning your day to day tasks to avoid stressing yourself out. Take things one step at a time.
