How do you plan your week ahead?
I usually get my schedules spontaneously. I get random texts from agencies and have last minute auditions/go-see/VTRs. Once I get a date, time and location, I block the date right away in my calendar so I won’t forget it. (I usually forget my schedule, so keeping a calendar helps me a lot).

How do you prioritize your to-do list with daily/weekly commitments/tasks?
Basically, first come-first serve basis. Haha I try to keep it professional that if I already committed to an event or meeting, I would keep it. Although sometimes, in some cases, If it’s a top priority, let’s say my workshop for the movie i’ll be on, then I will prioritize it more than if it’s just a Youtube Fan Fest meet and greet. My schedule is usually a weekly thing. I never really know my plans for the next two weeks, unless they are a makeup gig that has booked me months/weeks before. :)

What’s the best way to start the week?
I start my day on Sundays. I nice refreshing reflection time at church. Having a clean slate to whatever struggles I may have had during the week. There is something about God’s guidance that keeps my life together and at peace. So I believe that starting your week with God’s presence really gets me through the week better. :) *Pray emoticon haha*

Tell us about your morning routine. What gets you pumped up in the morning?
To be honest, I’m not really a morning person. I start my day at 12pm. Although, I have been trying to change my routine by going to the gym in the morning, work/film in the afternoon and then edit at night. Gym helps wake your body up and helps your metabolism too. I try not to gym in the evening cause it keeps me up all night.

How do you take your breaks on a typical weekday?
My breaks or my breathers are usually hanging out with friends and family. The company I keep is very important to me because that’s how I take a break from all the work and events. I get to just be myself and chill. Bonding with people I love is one of the most important things in my life.

What’s your go to night cap?
My night routine consists or having my devotional time, skin care routine and watching Netflix until I fall asleep.

What’s the best way to spend Friday night?
It depends on how the week ended. If it was a stressful, tiring week then I’d rather just stay at home and sleep early. If it was a chill week, then I’d like to drink with friends.

How do you relax on weekends?
Have 2 hour massages before sleep or watch the latest movies with my family.

I try to research whatever is trending sometimes. But for the most part, I just film beauty looks/vlogs on things I want to talk about. I just do what I want to do. Or maybe if I’m inspired by the shows/movies that I watch. I.e the Riverdale series I just made.

Teena’s Five Planning Tips & Tricks

  1. Write it down. It’s proven that you get more things done when you write.
  2. Identify which is your “top priority and non-negotiables” and which ones can be bumped to a different day.
  3. Make it as realistic as possible. You can’t possibly schedule attending an event at 5pm when you finish work at 6pm.
  4. For me, planning is like goal setting so I reward myself when I accomplish major things like meeting a deadline or surviving crossfit routine.
  5. Balance is key. Allot time for family and yourself. I know work can be time-consuming but don’t let it be the only thing that defines you.
